The Illustrated Daily Scribble is a blog of my quick, rough sketches drawn without preliminary drawings and erasures usually on legal pads. To see my polished, tight, full-color work check out my weekly, political comic strip Thadeus & Weez. I'll post new material here Monday through Friday. At Talking Points Memo on 05.04.04, Joshua Micah Marshall wrote, "Yesterday in a Q&A with editors from Detroit area newspapers President Bush said he was 'shaken' by reports of abuse of prisoners in US military custody in Iraq. Yet, according to his press secretary this morning he hasn't even looked at the Taguba Report, the one people around the world are buzzing about in disappointment and outrage and half of Washington seems already to be reading. The piece goes on to quote Bush as saying to the editors of the Detroit Free Press, "Well, if Myers didn't know about it. In other words, he's part of the chain -- actually, he's not in the chain of command, but he's a high ranking official. We'll find out." 05.05.04
